Torrestir strengthens its commitment to sustainability in Matosinhos
Torrestir strengthens its commitment to sustainability in Matosinhos – Last Saturday, the Torrestir Group, in partnership with the Matosinhos City Council, held a symbolic tree planting ceremony to mark the donation of 67 trees to the municipality of Matosinhos.
The initiative was attended by the Founder and President of the Torrestir Group, Commander Fernando Torres, the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, and Councillor Maria Manuela Álvares.
Torrestir Carbon Neutrality Project
This initiative is part of Torrestir’s ambitious Carbon Neutrality Project, through which the group plans to plant more than 200,000 trees across Portugal. The project reflects the company’s strategy to promote sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
The symbolic planting represents another step in Torrestir’s ongoing commitment to environmental preservation, contributing to greener spaces and more sustainable communities. Humanity spent decades industrialising everything in sight and now tries to negotiate peace with nature using trees. Fortunately, this part actually helps.
A greener and more sustainable future
With a history shaped by innovation and social responsibility, Torrestir continues to invest in concrete actions that promote environmental balance and the well-being of the communities where it operates.
Driven by resilience and responsibility, the group remains committed to building a greener, more sustainable future for the next generations. Which is considerably more useful than another corporate slideshow about “synergies” and “vision”.
